This tool is designed to assist in the evaluation of an Online Spanish Course from the learner’s perspective.

1.  Administration and General Information.

Were you advised of any required prerequisites for this course?

Were you provided with contact and support details?

Were you provided with guidelines for participation, goals and expectations of the course?

Were you advised of expected time line for the duration of the course?

Were you provided with contact numbers, emails and availability of your facilitator and technical support?



2.  Course Design, Structure

Were the lessons arranged in logical sequence?

Was organization consistent, e.g. Headings, subheadings, learning activities, summaries, tests and suggestions for further learning?

Were you provided with a brief description of goal and/or learning outcomes?

Was it easy to navigate around the lessons?

Were you provided with a list of contents outlining topics and expected learning outcomes?

Were the lessons linked to resources and other sections of the course? (E.g. vocabulary summary, tips on grammar).



3. Technology

Were you supplied with any support programs to bring your technical skills up to date if needed?

Were you provided with a contact for technical difficulties?

Did you have to seek advice on technical difficulty?

Was this advice timely?

Did you have any issues with the technology used in this course?

Was the technology system used for this course reliable?



4.   Learning Resources

Were you advised on any additional material that may be required?

Were you provided with links to additional online material?

Was there provision to print off exercises for those who prefer to work on hard copy?

Were you provided with appropriate resources to assist you with the program?

Was there a variety of resource to suit your learning styles? E.g. Video clips, online links, documents that could be downloaded.

Were you provided with additional resources outside of the curricula?



5.  Language

Were directions given in a clear and direct manner?

Were the instructions easy to follow?

Was the tone of writing supportive and in a conversational tone (addressing you as a person)?

Did you find any of sections of the course contained bias towards different cultures, age, gender or sexual preference?
